Built-in Furniture
Bespoke storage, built to measure. Pearwood creates built-in wardrobes, fitted cupboards, media walls, under-stairs solutions and bookcase systems tailored to your room. We specify materials and hardware to suit the use: hardwoods and veneered plywood for structural units, painted moisture-stable MDF for kitchens and bedrooms, and soft-close runners, hidden hinges and push-to-open doors where required. Typical projects include timber-framed fitted wardrobes for period bedrooms, shallow-depth storage for maisonettes above shops and integrated AV cabinetry for open-plan living rooms.
Respect for your home and finish. Our operatives are DBS-checked and CSCS-registered; we protect floors and surfaces, work to agreed access hours and coordinate any plastering or decorating required after installation. Pearwood has 30+ years' experience delivering sensitive work on high-profile and heritage sites — we understand sash-window reveals, Victorian skirting details and the need to match existing profiles. We provide detailed quotes, measured drawings and a written workmanship agreement before any work starts.
— Our Process
How It Works
Site survey & brief
A measured survey in your home identifies exact dimensions, sightlines and access. We discuss storage needs, finishes, door styles and budget then produce measured drawings.
Design & quotation
We prepare CAD or hand-drawn layouts, material samples (oak, painted MDF, veneered plywood) and a fixed quote. Amendments are quickly incorporated before manufacture.
Manufacture & installation
Made-to-measure components are fabricated and delivered for on-site fit. Our CSCS-qualified fitters protect your home, fit soft-close hardware, finish paint edges and clear up on completion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Typical lead time is 3–6 weeks from signed approval of drawings to installation, depending on complexity and paint/veneer finishes. Simpler walk-in wardrobes or shelving can be quicker; large media walls or full bedroom fits may take longer. Pearwood confirms a realistic programme at quotation and coordinates any follow-on trades to stick to that schedule.
