Who We Are

About Pearwood Joinery and Construction Ltd

Pearwood Joinery & Construction Ltd delivers refined joinery and robust building work across Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames and the surrounding 25–30 mile radius. Founded by Mark Crosby — a time-served Master Craftsman with Advanced City & Guilds qualifications, formal training in shop fitting and more than 30 years on tools — Pearwood was built on a simple principle: take on fewer jobs and do every one of them properly.

Mark trained at a private college before spending years working abroad across ten different countries — picking up techniques, materials knowledge and problem-solving instincts that simply don't come from staying on one site in one postcode. That breadth of experience now sits behind every project Pearwood takes on, from period sash restorations to contemporary media walls and full-house refurbishments. He holds construction qualifications, Part P electrical certification and plumbing qualifications alongside his joinery specialism, and he personally oversees every job from first fix to final handover.

Our Values

What Drives Us

Quality Over Volume

We deliberately limit the number of projects we take on at any one time. That means Mark is personally on-site overseeing your job — not stretched across half a dozen others. Every project is built to last, using time-honoured joinery techniques and precision modern methods to produce tight joints, true sashes and durable staircases that respect a building's character.

Respect for Homes

Work is carried out with respect for customers' properties — protective coverings, tidied workspaces and considerate scheduling for families, flats and listed buildings in Kingston and Surbiton.

Full-Service Delivery

Design, manufacture, supply and install: Pearwood coordinates every trade in-house — from our integral architect and structural engineer through to qualified electricians, gas engineers, plasterers and painters and decorators — so clients get a single accountable team from concept to completion.

Pearwood's experience extends well beyond domestic refurbishments. Mark and his team have carried out works for the UK government, including projects at Downing Street and for the Royal Household — environments where security clearance, flawless execution and zero margin for error are baseline requirements, not extras.

That same discipline underpins every job we take on, whether it's a kitchen refit in Surbiton or a complex commercial fit-out in central London. Rigorous quality control, reliable timekeeping and transparent budgeting aren't things we switch on for high-profile clients — they're how we work on every project.
