Bespoke Joinery
True bespoke joinery means pieces made to your space and way of living: built-in wardrobes that maximise awkward alcoves, media walls that conceal services, hand-turned balusters, and period mouldings matched to original profiles. We work in English oak, walnut, sapele and responsibly sourced softwoods, and can incorporate reclaimed timbers or veneers to match existing fabric. Examples of our craftsmanship include fitted kitchens and wet-room joinery, sash window surrounds, new staircases with bespoke handrails and detailed door linings for conservation areas in Kingston upon Thames and Surbiton.
From concept to finish, Pearwood handles the full sequence: measured drawings and samples, workshop manufacture and site fitting with final adjustments and patination. Our approach protects your home — dust control, floor protection and working around occupied rooms — and we liaise with structural engineers or plasterers where required. As a Checkatrade-present business led by Mark Crosby, our work is documented, insured and delivered to contract tolerances.
— Our Process
How It Works
Site Survey & Brief
We visit your property in Surbiton or Kingston, record exact dimensions, discuss materials and function, and produce a clear brief and initial drawings.
Design & Manufacture
Using CAD and our London workshop, we develop detailed drawings, select hardwoods or reclaimed timbers and craft components by hand and machine to guaranteed tolerances.
Fit, Finish & Handover
Our qualified joiner fits on-site, completes fine adjustments, applies traditional finishes where specified and coordinate any adjacent trades before final sign-off and aftercare advice.
